Military Miniatures - About Me

As a small boy, I enjoyed the same activities as all the other neighborhood kids – riding bikes, playing video games, making forts, etc. Aside from the other kids my age, I had an interest and hobby that was unique….something that only others with the same interest fully understand. I studied World War 2.

Some of my earliest memories recall my Grandfather who lived 2000 miles away, coming for a visit and telling us of his struggles and experiences as a shot-down and captured airman in 1945 Germany. From then on, each time my mother took us to the public library on summer days, I knew exactly what I wanted… World War 2 history books and lots of them. It didn’t matter that I was only 6 years old or that I could barely read, I wanted more. I remember sitting for hours and looking at the pictures and reading what I could. This intense interest in World War 2 history has never left me.

Miniature collecting and painting has been a very fulfilling aspect of my passion for World War 2 history. It allows me to combine 2 things that I enjoy very much; history and art. This site is a means for me to share this passion with others, and to keep myself moving forward…..learning new things and enhancing my abilities. It is my hope that I can help others along the way.  I hope you find this site both entertaining and useful.
